Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data OLFE FRAGRANCES (“OLFE”, “we”) collects through olfefragrances.com, why, and the choices you have. We act as the Data Fiduciary for your data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

When you order: name, email, phone number, billing and delivery address, and what you bought.
If you create an account: the above plus your login details. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form — we can’t read them.
When you pay: payment is handled entirely by Razorpay. Your card, UPI or bank details go to Razorpay, not to us. We only receive confirmation that you paid.
When you browse: our servers keep routine technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
The Scent Finder: your quiz answers are used only to calculate your matches. They are not saved and not linked to you.

Why we use it

To process, deliver and support your order, including returns and refunds.
To send order confirmations and delivery updates.
To meet legal obligations — for example, keeping GST invoices and accounts for the period tax law requires.
To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
To send news and offers — only if you’ve agreed, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share only what each service needs to do its job:

Razorpay — to process payments.
Shiprocket and its courier partners — your name, address, phone number and pin code, to quote shipping and deliver your order.
Hostinger — hosts our website and email, on servers in India.
Google Fonts — our pages load typefaces from Google’s servers, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google when a page loads.
Government or law-enforcement authorities, where the law requires it.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep your cart and, if you log in, your session. We don’t currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to:

tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
correct or update it;
erase it, where we’re not legally required to keep it;
withdraw consent you gave for marketing;
nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Email notes@olfefragrances.com and we’ll respond promptly. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact our Grievance Officer (details on our Contact page), and you also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

The site uses encrypted HTTPS connections throughout, and access to customer data is limited to those who need it to run your order.

Children

Our shop is not aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian’s consent.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
